Clinical Social Worker Supervisor Psych-ZSFG-Adult-CWCM Full Time 86257BR Job Summary This position oversees the Crosscurrents team of the Citywide Focus Program. Crosscurrents has a focus on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, HIV positive and female clients. The incumbent provides direct supervision of case management staff (masters and bachelor level clinicians) and peer staff in close collaboration with the other three teams under Citywide Focus. Supervision of staff includes providing oversight of billing, charting, as well as quality and efficacy of services. Under the supervision of the Director of Citywide Focus, the incumbent is responsible for clinical supervision and oversight of Clinical Social Workers, Social Work Associates and Peer staff, and collaboration with team Psychiatrist and nurse. CrossCurrents provides intensive case management to adults with severe and chronic mental illness. Duties include oversight of the quality of clinical services provided by the staff, as well as recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of staff. Assist with conducting staff/team meetings and trainings, and clinical presentations or conferencing. Supports with the design and implementation of program interventions for a client population of severely mentally ill adults, many of whom experience substance use disorders, severe trauma and chronic institutionalization, and struggle to engage in care. Provides direct clinical supervision of case managers' provision of ongoing mental health services including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, case management, and outreach to the clients and carries a small caseload. Makes decisions regarding utilization management, case termination and discharge planning. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $115,500 - $173,300 (Annual Rate). Established in 1981, Citywide Case Management was a national model for clinical case management and originally based at clinics throughout the City (hence the name "citywide"). Community Focus, began in 1997 on the ZSFG campus, as a Single Point of Responsibility (SPR) program using an Assertive Community Treatment model. The combined program now serves 400 clients at any given point and is thus the largest single program providing ICM services in San Francisco. Our teams provide culturally specific services in multiple languages to African American, Chinese, Vietnamese, Latinx, Korean, Pilipino and LGBTQIA populations. Required Qualifications Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited university and five years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position Two years working with severely mentally ill adults, the homeless and dual diagnosed populations Two years supervisory experience Two years' experience working with individuals actively involved in the criminal justice system PREF One year experience doing community based case management and the ability to do outreach to resident units Knowledge of psychiatric service operations and ability to apply concepts in an acute care setting Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with populations that is diverse in gender, sexual orientation, and ethnicity Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others. Ability to work in a high stress, high volume area and work well under pressure and with deadlines. Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately; detail oriented. Able to efficiently prepare written summaries of activities, set priorities and complete reports within required time frames. Knowledge of medical and/or psychiatric terminology Ability to work with clients and program staff from diverse cultural and social class backgrounds Ability to ensure patient care service standards are consistently met; assists staff with managing challenging patient interactions with sensitivity and skill Preferred Qualifications Two years' experience working with individuals actively involved in the criminal justice system Knowledge of medical center, HR and UC policies and processes. Knowledge of relevant psychiatric health services internal policies and external regulations.
