Under direction of supervisor, contribute to the design, development, support, or improvement of products and processes.

What you'll be doing

• Embrace accountability for smaller deliverables that are a part of a larger project. Leads small project teams, as necessary, to accomplish objectives within area/role of responsibility.

• Apply creative thinking to resolve issues.

• Contribute to design concepts and research methodologies that meet current and future customer & business needs for a product or process domain area.

• Build an understanding of clinical and user needs to provide meaningful recommendations to product development process.

• Drive solutions to technical problems using engineering tools, as needed (e.g. DFSS, FMEA, DoE, Statistical data analysis, etc.).

• General understanding of different phases of life cycle management. Ability to apply life cycle management Principals within exploratory, new product development or sustaining phases.

• Develop awareness of FDA, ISO and IEC design control procedures, regulations and standards within area of responsibility.

• Learn to apply technical risk mitigation tools and execute mitigation strategies within area of responsibility.

What you'll bring

• BS engineering and 0-2 years related experience.

• Prefer prior experience with product development lifecycle management (exploratory, new product development, or sustaining product support) including requirements management, risk management, V&V, design transfer to manufacturing, and/or change management.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with common tools (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Experience with other development and systems engineering tools preferred (e.g. Minitab, DOORS, ALM, Windchill RV&S, Windchill PDM Link, etc.).

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $72,000 to $99,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
