The Manager is responsible for the oversight of Nalco's service team and scope of work execution on a day-to-day basis at our customer facilities. They ensure our work is completed safely and meets customer contract requirements. Duties will include planning and scheduling of work, supervision of technicians, coordinating the purchase of chemicals, spare parts, maintenance and repairs of equipment, and ensuring that all contract terms & conditions and guarantees are satisfactory managed. Communicate effectively with Nalco sales team regarding contract execution, project support, and service team performance.This position will require occasional weekend work as well as being on call to cover emergencies during off hours. The position requires a high level of professional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a site-specific safety plan.
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment technologies including physical and chemical processes. Wastewater background not required.
  • Responsible for hiring, training and managing one direct report (Wastewater Operator).
  • Develop and maintain the site-specific documentation including procedures, work instruction, process control plans and process flows.
  • Responsible for planning and conducting audits that review the operations, maintenance, compliance with safety and contract requirements.
  • Responsible for forecasting and controlling cost for the assigned responsibilities.
  • Responsible for developing strong working relationships with the customer, Nalco technicians and Nalco sales team.
  • Accountable for the scheduling and conducting the training for site personnel to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely, efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist Nalco sales team in pursuing new business and contract renewal
  • Supports the business development process in the retention and extension of contracts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Operations experience in an administrative and budgetary role.
  • Computer literacy and competency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum 2 years' experience managing or supervising employees.
  • Industrial Wastewater experience.
  • Familiarity with computer-based controls (SCADA, HMI, CMMS, etc.)

  • Prepares internal and external reports

  • High level of independence
  • Accountable for meeting annual objectives of contract and clearly communicating results

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $60,600 - $91,000. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
