Covia is looking for a dynamic Bulk Car Loader who will have a positive impact on the Production team at its McIntyre, GA location.

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:




  • Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety regulations and safe work practices and assuring all equipment has been inspected and is in a safe working condition. Any unsafe conditions shall be reported to your supervisor.
  • Efficiently operate Rail and Bulk Loadout equipment.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities as defined in applicable Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Efficiently and safely operate railcar moving equipment to move railcars as directed by supervision.
  • Conduct effective workplace examinations prior to each shift to identify potential safety hazards.
  • Perform minor routine maintenance on bulk loadout equipment, as required.
  • Maintain working area in clean and safe working order at all times.
  • Perform routine sample collection according to plant procedures.
  • Communicate pertinent information to plant supervision.
  • Flex work schedule including rotating shifts and some weekend work
  • Assist other plant areas as requested.



The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:




  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work with normal supervision
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs/work from heights
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 60 lbs.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic mathematical and mechanical aptitude
