Advantage Technical is seeking a Project Chief - Propulsion Systems (Air Induction & Exhaust) to manage design and development for air induction and exhaust components across multiple vehicle lines. You'll serve as the
key contact between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and program management, ensuring all system requirements-performance, cost, timing, and quality-are met from concept through launch.

Pay Rate: $55.77 - $55.78/hour

Schedule: Hybrid - Required to be on-site (assembly plant or supplier) four days per week

Responsibilities:



  • Lead development of air induction and exhaust systems from concept to end-of-life.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on sourcing, tooling, prototypes, validation, and launch.
  • Ensure performance targets (e.g., NVH, airflow, backpressure) and timing/cost goals are met.
  • Resolve technical issues, manage changes, and drive value optimization.
  • Represent the team during plant launches and provide onsite support.
  • Support quality initiatives and conduct root cause analysis.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
  • 8+ years of experience in air induction/exhaust systems (OEM or Tier 1).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and supplier management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers and plants.
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience with EV systems, thermodynamics, UG/NX CAD, DFMEAs, and DFSS tools.
  • Familiarity with Stellantis systems and cost analysis.
