Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end testing activities across multiple teams in large projects with tight timelines Generate various metrics and reports to communicate progress, status, risks and dependencies Define and track success metrics for the QA deliverables Defect tracking and management in JIRA Requirements: Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math) Experience in Software Testing Expertise with one or more Hadoop technology(Hive, Impala, Spark, SQL) Able to write Unix commands and execute them Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, ETL technologies Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using Joins Ability to document and troubleshoot errors Working knowledge of test management software (Ex: qTest, JIRA) Familiar with the life cycle of projects (SIT, UAT) Hands on agile experience Excellent verbal and written skills, to include advanced interpersonal and proven presentation skills Ability to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis Ability to be self-directed to complete assigned activities Experience in test case management tools like qtest, Client ALM, Octane etc. Experience working on different testing artifacts such as test strategy, test plans, test cases, test evidence, test approvals, etc. Working knowledge of JIRA and other agile frameworks Experience working with different databases and writing complex queries Strong experience in working with upstream and downstream integrations Strong organization and collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams Pay range: $50.42 - $58.42 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
