As Director Global Business Intelligence you will have the unique opportunity to build and lead our new "Global BI Lab" driving our business intelligence strategy via innovative use of technology and patterning closely with executive leaders across multiple businesses and functions. In this highly visible role, with a keen ability to blend strong business acumen with technical skillset, you will deliver enterprise analytical insights to drive business growth and top-line results.

Located at Ecolab's Global Headquarters in Saint Paul, MN (hybrid), with Naperville, IL (hybrid) as the alternative location, this role reports to the VP Global Business Intelligence.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Leadership: Collaborate closely with the VP of Global Business Intelligence to define and execute the organization's strategic roadmap, focusing on advanced analytics, machine learning, and data-driven insights that support Ecolab's growth objectives.

Define Performance Measures: Define specific performance measures, parameters, and benchmarks in operational and financial metrics, working directly with business leadership across multiple disciplines. Enable progress tracking and identification of key performance gaps to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Technical Expertise and Innovation: Design and develop proof of concepts, utilizing Python and other tools to build machine learning models, anomaly detection frameworks, and forecast models. Lead exploratory data analysis to uncover insights that drive business decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with cross-functional leaders across finance, customer digital solutions, and enterprise technology to identify key business needs and ensure data-driven decision-making. Present complex technical insights in a clear, actionable manner for diverse audiences.

Data Management and Automation: Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage machine learning, AI, and automation tools to streamline data processing and analytics. Implement scalable solutions that align with data strategy and enhance the organization's analytical capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, business, finance or related field
  • 7 years of experience in data science, analytics, or business intelligence roles
  • 3 years in a team leadership position
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Strong track record of developing and implementing advanced analytics models, including predictive modeling, anomaly detection and forecasting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advance degree (Master's) in a quantitative field
  • Proven experience in building and deploying machine learning models and working with large, complex datasets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and translate complex analytics into actionable business insights
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong drive for continuous learning and innovation

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $151,100.00 - $226,700.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentives based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
