TITLE: Human Resources Manager
POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to department managers, plant leadership, and HR team members. Key responsibilities include policy interpretation, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, employee relations, benefits administration, and the management of other HR programs. This role serves as a strategic partner by offering guidance and solutions that promote employee engagement, compliance, and operational efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the business. The position reports directly to the Regional Human Resources Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of human resources experience.
- Must have adequate knowledge of federal, state and local laws.
- Work experience in recruitment is preferred.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated work knowledge of multiple human resource areas preferred.
- Social compliance audit readiness experience
- Strong knowledge of I-9 compliance requirements and practices
- Experience managing and administering worker's compensation programs
- Data analysis and basic research skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to provide beneficial recommendations to solve HR-related issues related to regulations, laws, and policies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of change management.
- Ability to develop and implement forward-thinking HR strategies to enhance workplace culture and efficiency.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent typing skills, including proper spelling and grammar.
- Presentation skills required.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail required.
- Ability to use general office equipment.
- Ability to adapt to and learn new software.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, and key external stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate to internal stakeholders Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations.
- Administer and educate employees on benefits packages.
- Ensure effective exit interviews and provide management with appropriate feedback.
- Conduct and oversee employee investigations to ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations, addressing workplace concerns in a fair and professional manner (e.g. employee complaints and harassment allegations).
- Act as representative for unemployment claims.
- Oversee adequate orientation and training within the organization.
- Manage and document employee recognition programs to ensure engagement and retention.
- Build and sustain beneficial relationships with employment agencies and educational institutions.
- Perform interviews, screens, and recruit for entry-level, professional, and technical job openings.
- Ensure the compatibility of applicants to job positions.
- Oversee the adherence to wages, working hours, and other regulations.
- Oversee performance evaluations, ensure salary alignment with appropriate pay ranges, and maintain accurate positions documentation.
- Maintain records within HRIS and manual filing systems.
- Plan, organize, and attend recruitment fairs as requested.
- Plan and organize staff events.
- Maintain and update job descriptions to reflect current roles and responsibilities.
- Provide general information and assistance internally and externally over the phone, electronically, and in person.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical HR practices to foster trust and compliance within the organization.
- Stay up to date with HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- This position is based in an on-site manufacturing office environment, with regular visits to the production floor as needed to support employee interactions, investigations, training, and other workplace matters.
