Learning Experience Manager

Ecolab's Institutional North America is seeking a highly collaborative and results-driven Training Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative learning solutions for sales, leadership, and customer training programs. This role is responsible for empowering sales and customer teams with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive business growth. In addition, own our leadership content to keep it updated, current, and effective in developing our leaders. Specializing in instructional design and learning technologies (including Articulate 360 and Camtasia), this position manages the entire curriculum lifecycle, from needs analysis through evaluation.

What you will do:

Instructional Design & Learning Technology

  • Design and develop engaging, scalable digital learning experiences using tools such asStoryline 360,Camtasia, Workday Learning, Rise, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Keep up to date with modern learning methods and industry trends.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Motivate-Train-Sustain) to create scenario-based eLearning, simulations, and performance support tools.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify appropriate learning solutions or determine when training is not required.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), training managers, and key stakeholders to produce high-quality content.
  • Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of learning and development initiatives tailored to our sales teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, technical competencies, and sales enablement strategies.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement evaluation strategies for assigned programs using theKirkpatrick Modeland other frameworks to measure learning impact and business outcomes.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, feedback loops, and pilot testing to validate training effectiveness and adoption.
  • Use data dashboards, surveys, and learner feedback to drive iterative improvements and demonstrate return on investment.

Project Management & Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and R&D to assess training needs and deliver impactful learning solutions.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables using agile methodologies and project management tools (Smartsheet).
  • Identify gaps and opportunities within existing learning programs and collaborate with the program owner to co-develop new learning programs that meet the needs of the business.
  • Build effective relationships with business leadership, HR, learning professionals, and front-line sales and service associates to address emerging needs and enhance learning outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in instructional design, learning technology, talent development, or corporate training.
  • Proficiency inArticulate Storyline 360,Camtasia, Workday Learning, and other eLearning authoring tools.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with sales enablement, customer education, or innovation-focused training is a plus.
  • Be nimble, resilient, and adaptable to the ever-changing environment of learning and offer creative solutions based on both experience and industry trends.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $94,100.00 - $141,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
