Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Production Line

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (3 months to start, with potential for permanent hire)

Location: Cabazon, CA, USA

Pay Rate: $32-$35/hour (based on experience)

Shift: 3 on / 2 off / 2 on; 12-hour shifts (5:30 AM - 5:30 PM). Currently straight days; potential to switch to nights if hired permanently.


About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production line operations. This role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance, including pump and motor repair, welding, and general machinery upkeep. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities who can work independently or as part of a team to ensure equipment reliability and production efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.



  • Execute emergency repairs and adjustments while production lines are running.



  • Ensure smooth and efficient changeovers.



  • Modify or fabricate equipment to maintain or improve production lines.



  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively.



  • Maintain equipment for maximum reliability and high-quality output.



  • Handle maintenance of off-site facilities and plant equipment.



  • Maintain accurate shift maintenance logs.



  • Assist with start-up and shut-down of plant equipment daily.



  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.



  • Operate machinery involving chemicals (caustics, acids, ammonia).




Qualifications:


  • Experience in maintenance-related fields, including general computer-operated machines, industrial electrical, and welding.



  • Experience with pump and motor repair.



  • Licensed Millwright (preferred).



  • Plumbing experience (preferred).



  • Strong mechanical aptitude.



  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.



  • Self-starter capable of working independently and within a team.



The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
