Position Overview:


We are seeking a motivated and skilled Die Cast Process Technician I to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of technical functions in support of die cast operations, ensuring equipment is set up, adjusted, and maintained for optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with die casting equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine and robot faults.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Perform change-outs of die casting equipment, including ring on shot tip, tip on shot rod, and shot rod.



  • Reset machine and robot faults to minimize downtime.



  • Set up changeovers on trim dies for new part runs.



  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks and accurately log all work into the ERP system.



  • Interpret and apply Control Plan and FMEA documentation.



  • Perform GD&T offset changes, runouts, coordinates, rounds, and straights.



  • Apply mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, algebra, solid geometry, and trigonometry.



  • Follow all OSHA safety rules, company policies, and procedures.



  • Perform bottle changing procedures.



  • Set up and adjust ladles, reciprocators, and springs.



  • Remove stuck castings as needed.



  • Perform other related duties as assigned.




Qualifications:




  • Previous experience in a die casting or manufacturing environment preferred.



  • Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability.



  • Familiarity with GD&T, Control Plans, and FMEA processes.



  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and work instructions.



  • Solid math and problem-solving skills.



  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.



  • Commitment to following safety standards and company procedures.
