TheQA Automation Engineeris a software engineering role.The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for manual and automated testing for assigned products and their associated releases, including scripting and maintaining manual and automated scripts using multiple QA tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop software solutions as part of an agile development squad.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners to refine user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Define testing and automation strategies in partnership with development and product teams.

  • Contribute to iteration planning, squad commitments, and delivery.

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated exploratory tests to validate functionality.

  • Create and manage comprehensive test plans, test cases, and documentation.

  • Coordinate with onshore/offshore teams to ensure effective task execution.

  • Support and enhance test automation frameworks and processes.

  • Develop test data management strategies for automation suites.

  • Estimate, plan, and execute quality testing activities.

  • Validate deployments across environments.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

4-year Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering degree preferred

Critical Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance.

  • 4+ years of experience developing automated tests in any programming language.

  • 3+ years' experience in Agile SDLC.

  • 4+ years' experience in automation testing using Selenium and Java (Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc.).

  • 3+ years' experience in API services testing and automation (SoapUI, Java, Selenium, Groovy).

  • 3+ years' experience in backend testing using database management tools.

  • 3+ years' experience working with Databricks, PySpark, and Spark SQL.

  • 3+ years' experience validating large-scale datasets efficiently.

  • 3+ years' experience in TOSCA DI/ETL scripting for automation.

  • 3+ years' experience in data migration validation and ETL pipeline checks.

  • 2 + years' Experience applying AI/ML models to predict and detect data inconsistencies

Additional Skills

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, pipelines, and build tools (Maven, Gradle, Ant).

  • Familiarity with test management tools and processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis and creative solutions.

  • Proficiency with source control tools (Bitbucket, GitHub, Git Bash).

  • Experience with Java, Selenium, TestNG, JavaScript, React.

  • Ability to lead onsite and offshore QA teams.

  • Excellent client-facing, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.

  • Experience in healthcare software and compliance solutions (preferred).

  • Data migration validation, ETL pipeline checks, regression testing.

  • Familiarity with using AI/ML models to predict data inconsistencies.

  • Advanced SQL skills for pattern and format validation.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$105,200 - $175,300
