We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable engineer to join a team dedicated to commercializing and manufacturing innovative products. This role offers a unique blend of product development, process improvement, and hands-on problem-solving. You will be instrumental in developing new products, optimizing existing manufacturing processes, and exploring creative solutions to complex engineering challenges. * Lead or support the development of new products and manage the daily manufacturing operations essential for their production.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Project Managers, Process, Quality, Automation and Controls, and Industrial Engineers to implement designs and solutions.
* Engage in daily team stand-up meetings to prioritize tasks and plan future initiatives.
* Allocate approximately 65% of your time to prioritized project work, 25% to enhancing the existing product portfolio, and 10% to creative exploration and functional initiatives.
* Utilize concept sketches, 3D design software, and engineering principles to design, refine, and meticulously document tooling designs and machine components.
* Partner with designers, developers, engineers, and tooling centers to create solutions that optimize manufacturability for both final products and tooling designs.
* Maintain transparent communication with key stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of project progress.
* Collaborate with internal customers, external vendors, and global teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
* Continuously enhance your skills through training, conferences, and other professional development opportunities. **What You Bring:** **Must-Have Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
* 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, product design, engineering, and tooling design, particularly with consumer products.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
* Experience utilizing PDM software and a comprehensive understanding of revision control.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing projects simultaneously.
* A detailed and methodical approach to problem-solving.
* Proven ability to analyze complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and navigate ambiguity and frequent changes in priorities.
* Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and at all organizational levels. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**
* Knowledge or experience in thermoforming.
* Knowledge or experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
