Woodburn is a small town located about 30 mins east of Fort Wayne, IN. Fort Wayne is the cultural and economic center of northeastern Indiana, and the second largest city in Indiana. Established in 1961, our Plant builds passenger and light truck tires. THE OPPORTUNITY We have an immediate opening in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for providing electrical technical support for maintaining the machines and equipment in their area of responsibility. The Maintenance Engineer works closely with the methods and reliability teams, breakdown engineers, and maintenance crews. WHAT YOU WILL DO *Ensure that maintenance work is performed in compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. * Optimize maintenance plans in terms of frequency, quality, and time spent. * Monitor the effectiveness of machine interventions to prevent breakdowns, make sure that spare parts are available and keep production online. * Improve rate and duration of breakdowns and preventive stop times and help improve cycle time rate consistent with the objectives of the shop and each machine. * Confirm efficiency of machine interventions, as to resources used, consumption of spare parts, and sustained energy efficiency of equipment. * Support the shop's day to day operations. * Application of Total Process Control (MTP) standards by the maintenance respected, especially concerning locks and unlocking procedures. * Analyze and provide information about the life of equipment, especially as to reliability, quality and efficiency. * Become a technical expert of equipment with the ability to coach troubleshooters and maintainers' scheduled work, including training on technical interventions, ensuring the application of maintenance methods, promoting the use of standard problem solving, maintaining the conformity of the equipment, and updating technical drawings and information.
