Position Summary:

The Buyer/Planner is responsible for managing the procurement and planning of materials, components, and services to support production schedules and customer requirements. This role ensures optimal inventory levels, on-time delivery, and cost-effective sourcing while building and maintaining strong supplier relationships. The Buyer/Planner will collaborate closely with production, engineering, quality, and logistics teams to drive supply chain efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years' of relevant experience in procurement, production planning, or supply chain management required
• Ability to use Microscope Office (Word, Excel, Access, Email, Internet)
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and supply chain principles
• APICS/CPIM or related certification a plus
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Attention to Detail
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Are You Our Next ACE?

• Responsible for monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly delivery schedules against production status to stay ahead of on-time delivery of parts and takes action to meet deliveries
• Develop and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) schedules to support production and customer demand
• Reviews open sales orders to determine customer requirements
• Create, release, and manage purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
• Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and safety stock; take corrective action to prevent shortages or excess
• Completes status reports, production progress, customer information and materials inventory
• Maintains the professionalism, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency
• Develop internal written procedures of standard practices fulfilling required position duties
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Transparency:

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $48.00 per hour. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors Winchester Interconnect Corporation considers relevant to the hiring decision.
