The Opportunity

Join Adobe as a Cloud Development Engineer working alongside a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional FinOps solutions. This role entails providing financial guidance, operational strategies, and technical insights to drive transparency in costs, optimize resources, and foster sustainable cloud growth. As a vital team member, your responsibilities will encompass planning, showcasing, building, and testing cloud-native software systems. You will also be involved in designing and scaling backend services and microservices. This role is geared towards advancing cloud engineering initiatives on AWS and Azure. Your duties will involve creating and managing automation tools for processing and analyzing infrastructure and resource usage data. These tools are pivotal in improving cost visibility, optimizing resources, and enhancing performance at scale to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.

What You'll Do

  • Develop high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code that meets our outstanding standards, and participate in all aspects of software development including design, coding, code review, testing, bug fixing, and code/API documentation.

  • Actively participate in daily and weekly stand-ups, collaborating with engineers to ensure smooth project progress. Contribute to a supportive team culture by giving and receiving constructive feedback.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by working both independently and as part of a team. Communicate clearly and positively and take on additional responsibilities as needed to meet team and project goals.

  • Formulate, broaden, and advance microservice solutions to elevate performance on AWS and Azure clouds, and enhance tools for managing infrastructure data.

  • Solve complex technical problems related to large-scale cloud cost, utilization, and performance data aggregation, workflow automation, and actionable reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering and platform teams to establish and maintain guidelines for cloud cost governance, rightsizing, and performance monitoring.

  • Build robust backend services for scalable, reliable data pipelines and dashboards supporting financial and operational decision-making. Integrate optimization and governance features into AI workflows for enhanced anomaly detection, forecasting, and recommendations.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends in cloud performance engineering and automation and apply innovations where appropriate.
