Atlas Tech, an employee recognized Best Place to Work government contractor, supports the US military by providing Enterprise IT solutions to mission-critical, high-availability, and tactical applications. We are seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Financial Analyst to support our Project Managers and Financial Team in executing financial management duties for a high-impact contract and project plan. You'll work closely with other financial analysts, project managers, program managers, and government stakeholders to ensure efficient cost tracking and project success.

This position supports the U.S. Coast Guard through our partnership with the U.S. Navy's Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC). Your contributions will help deliver innovative technical solutions to national security missions. You'll will work primarily from our North Charleston, SC office with potential travel to various CONUS locations as requested.

You Will:



  • Organize, Analyze, and Track financial data with accurate monitoring, control, and reporting
  • Assist Financial Team in executing task requirements, project and/or program objectives, risk, cost, and performance
  • Read, understand, and analyze Contract Action Funding documents
  • Analyze and record project funding, expenditures, and projection data
  • Maintain accurate financial records; prepare charts, graphs, tables, reports, and other analyses as required
  • Analyze and prepare estimates of service, material, equipment, travel, and production costs
  • Track and manage direct costs on assigned contracts
  • Gather and analyze data for program reviews and other meetings
  • Compile, create, edit, track, update, and send various spreadsheets and reports
  • Consistently and accurately follows internal processes and procedures
  • Interact regularly with internal departments, clients, and other industry representatives


You Have:



  • US Citizenship
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
  • Experience in cost estimation and reporting
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing financial data
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with all levels of employees, management, and clients
  • Strong analytical skills
  • The ability to work independently and the initiative to complete tasking without direction
  • Excellent prioritization and coordination skills with the ability to work multiple deadlines under pressure
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
  • The ability to work with others in a highly collaborative environment


Education/Experience:



  • A college degree in Financial Management is preferred, but the combination of education, professional training, or work experience may be substituted for a degree.


We'd Be Impressed If You Had:



  • Prior Financial Analyst or Business Financial Management experience on a government contract
  • Experience with US Coast Guard and/or US Navy projects and programs


As part of the selection process, candidates for this position may be required to complete an Excel competency assessment to evaluate proficiency in relevant skills. This assessment is not pass/fail but serves as one factor in the overall evaluation process. Performance on the assessment will be considered alongside other job-related qualifications to ensure a fair and holistic selection decision.
