ABOUT THE ROLE
Fox News is looking for a Technical Architect for its Digital Product & Technology team based in New York. You will be reporting to the Director of Technical Architecture. As a Technical Architect, you will be responsible for working closely with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to define the architecture, implementation, and testing strategy for all projects and initiatives across our digital footprint. You will take product designs and concepts and translate them to technical execution plans and strategies. We're looking for someone who ideally comes from a highly technical background and can work between engineering leads to craft and communicate technical requirements and direction for execution by our technology teams.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Translate and breakdown product features and requests into well-scoped development tasks.
Assist the Project team in triaging issues to ensure technical priorities are delivered.
Guide the technology teams in planning, architecting, and developing scalable and robust technology solutions across the Fox News, Fox Business, and Fox Weather websites and apps.
Work closely with Product and Engineering to ensure documentation and solution definition are complete, well-articulated, and contain verifiable technical requirements for the development and QA teams.
Consult and collaborate with product teams, operations teams, and stakeholders to create the most effective content delivery systems, tools and applications.
Develop innovative technological solutions to solve complex product requirements.
Maintain awareness of industry trends and the competitive landscape related to design, content, community, user experiences, SEO, and storytelling capabilities.
Work closely with a wide range of groups within Fox to make sure there is an effective approach outlined for various request types, including editorial needs, ads implementation, analytics implementation, marketing initiatives, and others.
Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
3+ years previous experience working as an engineer or related technical role.
Deep experience working across a variety of digital technology platforms.
Knowledge in CMS tools, Web Development, Mobile & OTT applications, API integration.
Robust knowledge of industry trends and new technologies.
Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications & requirements.
Ability to evaluate overall goal and offer solution options.
Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
Self-starter when it comes to learning new technologies.
Excellent communication skills - both oral and written - with a reputation for building and maintaining relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively and/or interact with the other staff, executives, colleagues and vendors.
Ability to remain professional in all situations.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-170,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
