Job Duties:

As part of FOX User Identity team, Fox Cable Network Services, LLC seeks a Software Developer (Senior Software Engineer), responsible for building and maintaining large and complex projects which involve low latency, highly scalable API microservices that offer user identity and profile capabilities to FOX suite of client applications. Play an essential role in designing, developing, and maintaining secure and scalable software solutions that support user identity and profile management across various applications. Specific duties include: 1) Design and develop systems such as user authentication and authorization, user profile management, email notification services for users, etc., based on FOX's software engineering standards. 2) Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise in the systems owned by the team. 3) Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in software development and identity management. 4) Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of identity services into FOX's large product portfolio. 5) Lead design and architecture discussions, contributing valuable insights from previous experience and academic knowledge. 6) Mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment. 7) Participate in critical support rotations, ensuring the reliability and performance of FOX services. Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering or related field, plus three (3) years of software engineering or related software development experience, including experience designing software solutions for web services using microservice architecture; SQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB and Redis; continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions; and working with Go programming language.

*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and related identity and access management (IAM) technology landscape; 2) Knowledge of software design/architecture and tradeoffs related to large scale systems; 3) Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira; 4) Experience using AWS or other cloud providers; 5) Experience using Containers and Kubernetes; and 6) Knowledge of software development life cycle

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $166,399.84-189,039.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
