 POSITIONSUMMARY:
 The Project Engineer 2 assists and supports the Project Manager on assigned projects. Theposition works under direct supervision, performs routine daily activities, and
 gathers and distributes information. The Project Engineer 2 must be a flexible
 and adaptable team player and have strong communication and client service
 skills.
 MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    Setup initialcontracts and project information
Coordinatevarious trades
Resolving designcoordination issues
Receive, review,forward, and track the status of submittals
Oversee &manage the RFI process
Assist in the managementof the project permit process
Assist inpreparations of bid packages and procurement
Identify longlead items and establish procurement priorities
Updateconstruction schedule based on project team input, Trade Contractor
 progress, and materials delivery
Changemanagement systems, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and
 preparing quotations and change orders
Track andinspect material deliveries
Assists withreports regarding the financial performance of the
 project
Assist in the preparationof monthly owner project status reports, as required
Attend and/or leadproject meetings, as directed by the Project Manager
Oversee timelydistribution and accurate recording of all meeting
 minutes
Assist and/orcomplete project close-out
Communicate andenforce Manhattan's environmental, health, and safety management
 policies
Demonstratecommitment to an Injury-free environment through own actions and mentoring
 others
Assist in thereview of Subcontractor monthly payment applications
Assist incoordinating punch list items and procedures
Perform qualitycontrol inspections & oversee QPL process log
Overseeproject-specific integration of quality, closeout, photo documentation,
 & procurement technology software
Responsiblefor conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and

    Bachelor's Degree- Construction Management, Engineering, equivalent degree, or 2 years of industry experience. WORKINGCONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS:
 
    You must be adaptable to all types of weather conditions and traverse and inspect all areas of a construction job site, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.Ability to repeat the same movements.Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.Ability to compose, send, and reply to emails and written correspondence.Must be able to lift, pull, or move up to 50 pounds at a time.Travel may be required occasionally, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver's License).Exposure to characteristic construction site hazards.
