The salary range for this role is:

$66,336.66 - $109,432.93

Responsibilities:

The ideal salary range will be $75k to $87k DOE.

At Del Monte Foods, safety is at the heart of everything we do. We're seeking a proactive Safety Supervisor to help ensure a safe, compliant, and productive work environment across our food manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll lead safety initiatives, conduct regular audits and inspections, and collaborate with plant leadership to identify and mitigate potential hazards. You'll also provide hands-on training, promote employee engagement in safety practices, and ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.   • Perform regular safety audits and inspections of the workplace
  • Identify and correct potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct training on safety policy, emergency procedures and proper equipment usage.
  • Assist in reporting and investigating safety-related incidents and accidents.
  • Be part of the emergency response team.
  • Ensure that safety equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and available to employees.
  • Assist in conducting regular risk assessments to evaluate workplace safety.
  • Stay updated on current safety regulations and ensure that the workplace complies with Cal OSHA, OSHA and other relevant federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Certifications

  • A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Certified Safety Professional, OSHA Safety Certification or similar required.
  • Certified in first aid and CPR, with knowledge of emergency response procedures.

Years of Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in safety supervision or similar role, preferably in manufacturing

Skills

  • Ability to lead safety training and effectively communicate safety protocols to all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving safety issues before they become a significant hazard.
  • Meticulous in observing safety practices and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software
  • Adaptability to changing regulations and workplace environments.
  • Able to handle high-pressure situations
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional partners.
  • Bilingual English Spanish preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements such as OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA standards.
