Position Summary:

The Construction Engineering Supervisor provides leadership for represented Field Engineers, Senior Field Engineer Technicians and Field Engineer Technicians. The incumbent is responsible for promoting safety, supporting gas transmission and distribution construction, as well as underground electric projects. The Supervisor provides engineering technical support, monitors gas/electric construction cost, reviews estimates, ensures adherence to company policies and procedures, and performs construction contract administration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides project management to address scope, cost, and schedule of jobs for construction.
  • Provides gas technical guidance and project oversight to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Identifies work to be contracted, prepares detail gas construction specifications for construction projects to be outsourced, prepares and administers gas construction and service contracts.
  • Participates in benchmarking and leads process improvement reviews and activities.
  • Recruit/select, communicate expectations, foster employee engagement, coach, develop, mentor, recognize and reward employees in order to drive performance and results. Manages union an professional employees.
  • Manages contractors

Qualifications:

Minimum:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

5 years of relevant experience, including budgeting and forecasting experience.

Desired:

Leadership experience a plus; Construction Management degee or Engineering degree (B.S.)

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent, Master's Degree, or MBA

Prior supervisory experience
