Job Summary: |
The University of Colorado School of Medicine's Office of Medical Education (OME) is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven professional to join the Graduate Medical Education (GME) team as a GME Business Services Professional. The GME Business Services Professional is a full-time University staff position that will provide high-level administrative support to the GME Office, Directors, and Associate Dean. Key responsibilities include complex scheduling and meeting coordination, confidential communications, credentialing/licensing support, travel and procurement management, and streamlining faculty travel processes. Oversees GMEC operations, event planning, and recordkeeping for resident/fellow remediation. Supports faculty recruitment, serves as backup for core processes, and assists with office-wide initiatives and special projects (e.g., renovations, dashboards). Supervision Received: Reports directly to the Office of Graduate Medical Education Business Services Program Director with dotted reporting to the Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education. The position will work closely with the OME Business Services team to ensure adherence to business and procurement procedures. Supervision Exercised: This position has no direct staff supervision, although the role may be supervising student workers as appropriate. Key Responsibilities: Administrative Support (Associate Dean & Directors)
Manage complex calendars, meeting logistics, and materials preparation across multiple stakeholders. Draft and manage professional communications, correspondence, and confidential documentation (credentialing, licensing, CME, CVs). Screen, prioritize, and track incoming requests to ensure timely follow-through.
Procurement & Travel
Coordinate faculty and leadership travel (flights, hotels, cars) and reconcile expenses in Concur. Maintain compliance with university policies and develop streamlined travel processes/templates. Provide timely itineraries and documentation to support travelers.
Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) Support
Prepare agendas, presentations, minutes, and records for GMEC and related committees. Coordinate annual meeting schedules, speaker rosters, and documentation for compliance. Compile and synthesize meeting data for reports and board presentations.
Project & Event Management
Lead planning for GME-sponsored events (e.g., retreats, Gold Humanism Society). Manage project timelines, data compilation, and reporting for GME leadership. Oversee logistics: scheduling, venues, communications, materials, and vendor coordination.
Resident & Fellow Remediation/Disciplinary Support
Maintain records and databases for remediation, probation, suspension, and termination cases. Draft letters, track statuses, and generate reports for monthly review and compliance. Coordinate with Colorado Physician Health Program (CPHP), legal, and GME leadership on disciplinary actions and hearings.
Other Duties
Support faculty/staff recruitment and onboarding processes. Serve as backup for business operations (badges, certificates, documentation). Contribute to professional development and other office initiatives as assigned.

Hybrid - This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. Additional on-site days may be required as needed. Please see the campus-wide policy for additional information. |

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications: Intermediate Professional
A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a related field from an accredited institution One (1) year of professional administrative experience in healthcare administration, higher education or related field.
Senior Professional
A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a related field from an accredited institution Two (2) or more years of professional administrative experience in healthcare administration, higher education or related field.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in graduate medical education or an academic medical setting Experience with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and Graduate Medical Education. Experience working with MedHub Residency Management Software. Experience working with electronic databases/spreadsheets in a higher education setting.

Strong understanding of project or change management. Ability to solve problems in a supportive and thoughtful manner, considering the various personalities and perspectives of constituents. Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, Smartsheet, and technical ability to learn new software as needed.

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as, Intermediate Professional: $54,383-$69,175 Senior Professional: $58,792-$74,784 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
