Position Title: Associate, Impact & Planning

Position Classification: Regular; Exempt; Full-Time; 40 Hours/Week

Reports To: Senior Manager, Impact & Planning

Location: Boston, MA; At least 2 days per week onsite at our Boston office; Remaining days can be either in-office or remote

Travel: up to 10% domestic and international

Position Overview:

Impact & Planning is a fast-growing team at Partners In Health (PIH). We enable the organization to make measurable progress towards its strategic vision by driving strategy development, ensuring effective implementation, and capturing and communicating PIH's impact. Our team works across functions and geographies, including with senior leadership. We are committed to coaching and development opportunities for professional growth.

The Associate, Impact & Planning will support project management and implementation of organizational impact and strategic planning work. This role will work in close partnership with stakeholders across the organization and the larger team to support the advancement of PIH's Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities:

Interpret data and communicate results (50%)

  • Develop, maintain, and routinely update internal Impact & Planning resources across various platforms, including Microsoft (MS) Power BI and SharePoint, to make Impact & Planning resources accessible and useful for organizational use.
  • Collaborate on activities related to the roll out of PIH Strategic Plan resources and tools, including providing training and mentorship to PIH staff to leverage these resources in their work.
  • Support the design, development and maintenance of organizational resources to visualize data and organizational progress toward PIH Strategic Plan goals, in collaboration with the Impact & Planning team and key stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with care delivery site and U.S. Coordination site teams on analysis projects to synthesize, visualize, and document impact, helping to demonstrate the impact of our work.
  • Coordinate efforts to collect new programmatic data and information aligned with the PIH Strategic Plan (e.g., organizational training activities)
  • Develop internal and external documentation to share program results in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team, Development team, and other functional teams.
  • Interpret clinical and programmatic data to share key takeaways with audiences with varying levels of data literacy.

Coordination and operations (30%)

  • Lead project coordination and management and build out new work streams and projects, as needed, in collaboration with the Impact & Planning team.
  • Document processes and best practices of Impact & Planning work, including project charters, workplans, templates, planning tools, and similar resources.
  • Direct and coordinate project requests, identifying appropriate individuals and project teams to respond to needs.
  • Provide administrative support functions for the Impact & Planning team.
  • Support coordination across multiple functions of the Impact & Planning team (impact, strategy, and project management) to achieve identified strategic priorities

Project management and reporting (20%)

  • Oversee project management support to PIH sites (i.e., care delivery sites around the globe and U.S. Coordination site) to measure and track progress toward PIH Strategic Plan goals, including project management of the OnePIH Core Metrics, in collaboration with Impact & Planning team and key stakeholders.
  • Develop content that demonstrates impact for team and organizational reports, with inputs from various site and functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • At least four years of experience supporting projects that involve multiple stakeholders.
  • Prior experience with data analysis and interpretation, ideally in public health.
  • Proven ability to create high-quality final products in various formats with a range of audiences in mind (e.g., technical experts, senior leadership, external partners).
  • Master's degree in public health, global health, program management, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience in other data synthesis and visualization software (e.g., MS Power BI, Tableau, Stata) a plus.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate well within the team and across stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally, including international travel to remote or hard to access locationswith limited infrastructure.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staffacross departments and countries.
  • Interest in social justice strongly desirable.

Pay and Benefits

The expected starting salary range for new hires in this position is between $55,000-$65,000/year and may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market for the position, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position belongs to a class of roles that have a salary range between $50,000 and $70,000/year. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan with automatic employer contribution, as well as participate in organization-sponsored medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability insurance, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents.
