Transfer Operator

Job Summary

The Transfer Operator is responsible for loading and unloading of raw material/finished product as well as cleanliness of plant and equipment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Uses high pressure hose/pressure washer to wash plant equipment, containers, building areas and vehicles.
• Required to use standard hand tools (hammer, screw driver, wrenches, etc) and power tools (drills, impact drivers, grinders, saws, etc.)
• Operates company vehicles and forklift around plant and property.
• Required to operate electrically driven and PTO driven motors and pumps.
• Required to connect various hoses to equipment, in order to safely transfer raw material.
• Visually inspects condition of raw material loaded and reports any nonconformities.
• Required to accurately fill out material loading/unloading and quality tracking forms.
• Performs general labor tasks including janitorial cleaning and vehicle washing.
• Keeps safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to follow oral and written directions.
• Class B CDL license with Tankers Endorsement is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
