Position Summary |
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in partnership with the North Carolina Children's Hospital, is seeking a Pediatric Endocrinologist to support the Division's clinical and academic missions. This appointment is for a Clinical Assistant Professor, fixed term, 1.0
FTE, with compensation and responsibilities commensurate with the candidate's experience.
North Carolina Children's Hospital is a leading academic medical center dedicated to delivering family-centered care through excellence in clinical care, advocacy, research, and education. The hospital is consistently ranked among the nation's best children's hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, and the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology is accredited by the American Diabetes Association.
The faculty member will report directly to the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and join a well-established, multidisciplinary team, including board-certified pediatric endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, a clinical pharmacist, pediatric endocrinology fellows, pediatric residents, Certified Diabetes Educators, nutritionists, and nurses. Together, the team provides comprehensive care for children with endocrine and diabetes-related conditions.
Clinical responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient care of children with diabetes and other endocrine disorders. Outpatient clinics are located at
UNC Children's Specialty Clinics in Chapel Hill and Raleigh, NC, with regional care responsibilities as needed. In addition, faculty are expected to participate in scholarly activities, including quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and medical education. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
The successful candidate will be MD or MD/PhD educated and board certified/eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology. |

Academic and clinical interest in Pediatric Endocrinology. |
