Job Summary

Director of FP&A will be reporting directly to the VP, FP&A supporting the Optimum Customer Experience organization.

In this role, the ideal candidate will be able to autonomously work on budgeting and forecasting, month-end close, and serve as go-to resource for Optimum Customer Experience business leaders in achieving their operational and financial goals.

Responsibilities
  • Budget/forecast
    • Responsible for the development of strategic and financial aspects of annual budget/ monthly forecast
    • Work collectively with business leaders to reflect operational and financial goals of the company
    • Create presentations, which clearly speaks to the financials, strategy, and goals
  • Month End Close
    • Work closely with accounting department to ensure accurate and consistent recording of metrics and expenses
    • Ensure monthly entries are entered and posted on a timely manner
    • Update and review each respective P&L and metrics
    • Analyze and explain monthly variances
    • Prepare and present various monthly schedules to reflect financial results
  • A resource for business leaders to help achieve operational and financial goals
    • Update and review analysis outlining outcome vs plan and review with business leaders
    • Develop solutions with stakeholders to achieve maximum results
    • Work with business leaders to identify saving opportunities and efficiencies
    • Ensure operating departments are adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Own and maintain specific reporting files that will be utilized in operational reviews and executive level meetings
  • Review contracts before executed
  • Foster effective information flow and communication to ensure financial results and reports are consistent
  • Identify best practices to improve to current workflow and create efficiencies and consistencies across network
  • Assist with special projects, ad-hoc analysis, and presentation development for executive level meetings
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance. Master's degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience with strong analytical skills and can take accountability/ownership to drive results
  • Ability to adapt to changes in scope of position
  • Strategic thinking skills to assist in financial storytelling and presentation building
  • Cultivate cooperative working relationships, a team player, self-starter, adhere to deadlines while ensuring a high level of accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and quality
  • Great interpersonal skills, excellent verbal & written communication, organize, attention to details, and can multitask
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Fast learner with the ability to identify problems and seek solutions
  • Willing to be flexible and work hard to support business needs
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and proficient in Oracle, Hyperion, and Essbase
  • Telecom experience is a plus

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $141,372.00 - $201.960.00 / year.

The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in Texas is $117,810.00 - $168,300.00 / year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter. The rates/ranges provided herein are the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and do not reflect future job opportunity.
