As a Quality Engineer with exposure to welding processes, you'll support product quality and customer satisfaction within our fastgrowing Data Solutions value stream. You'll partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and customers to ensure products-many involving welded components-are produced in line with quality expectations and established processes. In this role, you will:
Represent the Quality (QA) function as a customer liaison, supporting engagement across multiple levels and serving as a key quality contact for the business. Collaborate crossfunctionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and external partners to ensure products meet quality requirements and are built using consistent, welldefined processes. Support quality investigations by managing internal nonconformances (production NCRs) and external customer complaints, including evaluating suspect materials and coordinating timely containment and corrective actions. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions, using Six Sigma (DMAIC) and other structured problemsolving methods to resolve quality issues, including those related to welding and fabrication processes. Support APQP activities such as PFMEA, Control Plans, GR&R, capability studies, and First Article Inspections (FAI) for both new product launches and ongoing production. Apply engineering fundamentals and lean principles to help improve manufacturing quality, process consistency, and overall operational effectiveness.
YOU HAVE:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field. 3+ years of experience working in or around welding processes (exposure to welded products, weld inspections, or welding operations). Experience working in manufacturing or qualityfocused environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality roles. Quality certifications such as CQE, CMQ, or CQA. ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training. Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, process improvement, and quality systems. AWS CWI certification or familiarity with welding standards. Working knowledge of ASME Process Piping Weld Code.

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $76,000.00 - $141,100.00
