Analyst

Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has need for an Analyst in Huntsville, AL
- In this role you will provide analytical support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Enterprise Analysis and Assessment (SEA) team. You will be focused on conducting analysis and synthesizing Missile Defense System (MDS) knowledge in developing Assessment Requirements (ARs) that drive Developmental Test (DT) ground test scenario design. In addition, you will support Assessment Focus Area (FA) leads with threat and MDS predictive analysis to support post-test analysis findings and augment assessment decisions, utilizing MATLAB and Python scripts and personal coding proficiency.
Job Description:
- Read and digest element design review and build documentation to understand emerging enterprise capabilities entering the MDS architecture
- Plan and conduct -- oft times requiring novel script development -- analysis of operational threat and MDS systems to bound expected performance space
- Synthesize information and analysis into ground test scenario design inputs via AR development
- Interact with stakeholders for AR development, including internal and external entities at multiple levels
- Review scenario designs upon delivery to ensure intended assessment intent was maintained, adjudicate and communicate fixes when it is deemed to not
- Interact with and support Enterprise Analysis and Assessment team with quick-turn analysis requests and information.
Qualifications:
- Must have a MA/MS degree and 7+years of relevant experience or a BA/BS degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Must have experience with and/or knowledge of MDS system functionality and how individual elements operate within it.
- Must have knowledge of 1+ elements within the MDS system and its capabilities.
- Must have experience with MDS predictive analysis and/or threat-based analysis
- Must have experience with MATLAB (preferred) and/or Python
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with MDS models and simulation tools, preferred.
- Experience with and knowledge of threat models, preferred.
- Experience with and knowledge of MDA ground test, preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- No Travel
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary sitting position for prolonged periods
- Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time
