 Write project charters and funding requestsEnsure all phases of the Capital Project Delivery process such as Front-End Engineering and Start Up Management are followed, partnering with engineering firms where applicableLead the development of project cost estimates and manages projects to meet the estimates 80% of the timeDevelop and manage project schedules to meet project objectives 95% of the time; this includes coordinating and monitoring schedule updates in conjunction with engineering, operations, and construction resourcesEstablish project practices and procedures including ones related to safety, quality, cost, and scheduleManage project changes and the decision-making processDrive resolution of key technical issues within the team; ensure all Smucker engineering and code requirements are metUnderstand the key project support systems like Marketplace and Spotfire and is able to utilize these to stay on track and move the project forwardClearly communicate project status, outages and watchouts as the primary link between the project team and upper managementUnderstand key roles of Smucker employees and contractors and can mesh the two for a seamless project executionLead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, operation leaders, and technicians to successfully execute a projectWork with operations and product development to determine internal customer needsProvide technical support to Project Managers in the areas of project controls, budget, and accounting systemsEnsure that projects are documented in accordance with good engineering practicesHelp coach and develop Operational Process Engineers The Right Role for You We are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together.  A Bachelor's of Engineering degree5+ years of experience in project management, construction management, or operations leadershipAn understanding of the Capital Delivery ProcessAble to perform moderate activity including but not limited to, significant time spent on manufacturing floor and some physical work on equipmentAbility to organize and prioritize actions to help meet plant objectives and long-term visionDisplay a high level of professional maturity, including the ability to appropriately protect, maintain and work with highly sensitive and confidential informationProven ability to work independently and as part of a team, including cross-functional groupsAbility to coach and train others Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role: 
 Previous experience in a food (pet, bakery, or confectionary) manufacturing environmentPrior experience managing capital spend / budget of $10-$15 million or more Work Environment: This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
