Manager - Quality Business Partner

The Role:

Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA.is seeking a highly skilled and motivatedManager - Quality Business Partner.

The Business Partner of Quality Engineering role is cross plants-functional, interacts at multiple levels and with multiple contact points within the customer, and Entegris stockholders. This role is high impact, high output and high visibility that requires a professional and strong capability to drive multiple standardizing, BKM, CIT and executing quality strategic business plans to ensure global stability and reliability of product and process by product segments, LMC, FM, GMC, ME, meet organization goals. Within this role, the PACE value competencies are regularly required for success: Engage as guided with customers, Entegris' customer interface and factory/product management/technical and engineering.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and analyze key cross-plants, multiple quality metrics to track product and process performance and identify areas for improvement and set short and long-term objectives and goals.
  • Execute cross-plants standardizing process with efficient process/product evident-making to manage process/product reliability.
  • Conduct BKM (Best Knowledge Management) practice to proactively collaborate with NP/NPD team to identify critical elements management to ensure NPI and HVM releasing successfully and to ensure well-maintained quality reliability and supply stability.
  • Conduct the designed oversee the planning, execution and results of internal audits quality, organizations typically establish a quality assurance and improvement program (QEIP) that includes both the internal and external assessments. The QEIIP evaluates the internal audit function's conformance with professional standards and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Identify and drive CIT (Continuous Improvement Team) to satisfy service level and total quality performance through the facilitation of the internal audit system and regional quality and practice governance meetings.
  • Conduct design and track training efficiency to ensure employee skillsets enhancement for supporting the management and control of product and process.
  • Work closely with QE/Product Management/Engineering/Operations teams to ensure that quality standards are reliably integrated into product lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including test plans, reports and defect tracking records.
  • Be well organized with good delegation skills to provide business partnership, efficient training, and development opportunities to teams to enhance skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at varying levels and varying degrees of complexity across a vast range of products, regions and companies (customers and suppliers.
  • Business travel to conduct/coordinate/support presentation of NPI/QN and PCN, and internal or external quality audit.
  • Demonstrate excellence in planning, execution, discipline, learning, leadership and teamwork, exemplifying Entegris PACE values.

What We Seek:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, product lifecycle management, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, DOE, Lean, Six Sigma, ISO standards).
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • International experience is desirable.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support global operations and customer engagements.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Certifications such as ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or equivalent.
  • Experience in a global manufacturing or high-tech environment.
  • Familiarity with NPI/NPD processes and customer-facing quality roles.
  • Multilingual capabilities are a plus.

  • Compensation: $140,000 to $170,000/yr range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
