Lead Production Coordinators work in support of all launch and production leadership staff to ensure the on-time delivery of components and assemblies. RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
 
 Create inventory requests based on production work orders and replacement partsMaintain production schedules through the coordination of planning and shortage management in the production buildEnsure parts are handled and protected properly and within SpaceX specificationsInterface with engineers and technicians on the release of work orders for buildReconciliation of work order bill of material quantitiesMaintain a high integrity in regards to company computer systems per procedures. Assist with resolution of incorrect system data which is driving inappropriate demand, schedules, or could result in general failureVerify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity and revisions prior to release of work orders to productionWork with production customers for priority and schedule requirementsAssist materials management leadership and project teams with action item updates as requiredCommunicate part status and estimated completion dates to leadership upon requestAssist production teams in corrective actionsSupport logistics process through innovative staging of workflowPerform de-kitting operations and own the return to stock processSupport productivity improvement
 
 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
 
 High school diploma or equivalency certificate3+ years of supply chain, inventory, or manufacturing experience1+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
 
 PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 
 
 
 Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business-related fieldStrong computer skills, fluent with the suite of MS office products and Power BIOrganizational skills1+ year(s) of experience writing or editing SQL queriesAbility to effectively lead in a team environmentExperience in aerospace or electronic manufacturing environmentsAPICS certification
