| Genesis10 is currently seeking a    Network / System Engineer   with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position. 
 Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 Lead the design and delivery of innovative solutions in monitoring, automation, and event management  Contribute to a technology strategy and ensure technology solutions comply with applicable system design enterprise standards  Advocate and advance modern and automated practices and evangelize great design, engineering, and organizational practices  Architect and implement scalable monitoring and observability solutions across hybrid cloud environments  Lead rapid shaping of infrastructure and application architecture to solve for emerging business requirements, ensure design is flexible and modular  Identify and address complex business challenges, finding innovative solutions that align with the organization's goals  Provide solution design feedback to Solution II, DevOps II, and Site Reliability Engineers  Design automation platforms that streamline deployment, configuration, and integration of monitoring agents and services  Facilitate solution driven discussions, lead the design of complex architectural components, and find creative solutions using knowledge of the domain and operational constraints  Lead modernization efforts for legacy systems, including migration to containerized microservices and event-driven architectures  Participate in various steering committees for technical and infrastructure service domains  Enable engineering teams through developer-centric tools and "Monitoring as Code" practices integrated into CI/CD pipelines  Partner with platform, SRE, and operations teams to ensure high system availability and performance (targeting 99.9%+ uptime)  Responsible and accountable for the application performance in production (application health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews)  Evaluate and integrate modern monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, ITM 6, and Splunk into enterprise systems  Serve as a thought leader and mentor, guiding teams through architectural decisions and strategic technical transformations  Conduct PoVs for emerging observability solutions and recommend best-fit technologies for enterprise use  Responsible for designing solutions that are compliant with all relevant risk, financial, and compliance polices, and standards  
 
 Requirements:
 
 
 
 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, solutions architecture, or a related field  Prior experience with IBM Watson AIOps or similar event management platforms   Understanding of event management, incident, problem, change best practices, monitoring experience   Experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud-native technologies, and developer enablement practices  Proven leadership delivering enterprise-scale automation and monitoring systems  Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C#, and experience with Shell/PowerShell scripting  Expertise in modern monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace, ITM 6, Netcool, and Splunk  Experience containerizing applications and deploying to OpenShift or other Kubernetes-based platforms  Strong grasp of event management, correlation engines, and observability patterns  Deep knowledge of REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices  Hands-on experience working with automation tools such as BladeLogic, Ansible, or similar platforms  Proven ability to build event-driven and message-based solutions  Ability to analyze, evaluate, and improve relational database designs, including normalization, indexing strategies, and schema performance tuning  Experience working in Agile teams with tools like Jira, Git, and Confluence  
 
 Desired skills:
 
 
 
 Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, including use of cloud-native monitoring and logging services  Familiarity with messaging and streaming platforms like Kafka and databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server  Exposure to machine learning-based alerting and AI/ML observability strategies  
 
 Pay range:   $63.68 - $71.68
