Welder Senior - Night Shift
 
 Summary
            
 This position is responsible for executing fabrication projects in accordance with welding procedures. The successful individual will have the necessary qualifications with a continual focus on safety, quality, cost control and customer satisfaction when performing the duties of the position. You have a strong focus on safety, be a team player and have a strong work ethic.Principle Responsibilities and Duties
            
 
             
 Uses metal core mig, tig, fluxcore sub-arc or stick welding process (must pass three or more)Ability to pass applicable test(s) and applicable Non-Destructive ExamMay weld brackets and braces and use grinders. May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. May perform position welds on code materialsQuality x-ray and ultrasound test welds with minimum reworkProficient in flame and plasma cutting torches and automated equipmentMust be able to read and understand blueprints and fit up pipe, flanges, etc. with minimal supervisionMust be able to operates basic cutting equipmentPromotes and supports safety, production and positive attitudeMust be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the departmentRequires employee to rarely type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc.Requires operation of heavy such as welding tools on a constant frequency and forklift on an occasional frequency
Qualifications
            
 Preferred Education 
             
 High School DiplomaWelding School
 Required Experience & Skills 
             
 Knowledge of different types and sizes of pipe, structural and vessel materialsMust pass a 3G test for vessel/tower or 6G test pipeMinimum of 3 years of related experience
 Preferred Training & Certifications 
             
 Certification to weld on pipe or plate
