What We Do
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of the South Atlantic Region for First American's Agency Division provides executive leadership, strategic vision, and operational oversight across the regional territory. This senior leader is responsible for strengthening agency relationships, driving revenue growth, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and service delivery in support of First American's mission to protect property ownership and provide trusted title insurance and settlement services. The South Atlantic Region footprint consists of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, D.C., Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky, and Arkansas (states for the region are subject to change).
What You'll Do: Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and manage the South Atlantic regional team, providing clear direction, accountability, and mentorship.
- Develop and execute strategies that align regional performance with First American's national Agency Division goals.
- Analyze regional market conditions, competitive trends, and regulatory developments to proactively position First American for continued success.
- Represent the company as a trusted industry leader at regional and national title industry associations, conferences, and partner events.
Agency Relationships & Business Development
- Build, strengthen, and expand relationships with independent title agents, attorneys, and other agency partners.
- Partner with agents to identify growth opportunities, provide guidance on underwriting and compliance, and deliver value-added solutions.
- Drive regional revenue growth by developing business plans, implementing targeted sales strategies, and ensuring strong client retention.
- Collaborate with agency partners to promote innovative tools, digital platforms, and resources that enhance agent productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Develop strategic and operational plans, managing execution and measuring results/KPIs.
- Facilitate the resolution of problems and the development of new initiatives to support business segments.
Operational & Financial Management
- Oversee regional operations to ensure consistent delivery of First American's standards of service, underwriting excellence, and risk management.
- Manage regional financial performance, including revenue, expense control, and profitability.
- Partner with underwriting and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Leverage technology and process improvements to increase operational efficiency and support scalable growth.
People & Culture
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing leaders and teams within the region.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, diversity, and inclusion.
- Create a cohesive team by providing leadership that engages all staff, including the clear establishment of performance expectations, coaching, performance management, career development, reward and recognition, hiring, and positive employee morale.
- Lead by example in upholding First American's values of integrity, service, teamwork, and excellence.

What You'll Bring:
- Demonstrated success in managing large regional operations and delivering financial results.
- Deep knowledge of title insurance, agency operations, underwriting practices, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with independent title agents and industry partners.
- Strong communication, strategic thinking, and change management capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in title insurance, settlement services, financial services, or related industries.
