Job Opportunity: A leading HVAC service provider is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial HVAC Technician for a full-time, union-based role. This position offers long-term stability and is ideal for professionals who take pride in technical excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities * Service, maintain, and repair: * Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers * Rooftop units * VRV/VRF systems * Split systems and pumps * Perform advanced diagnostics and root-cause troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and control systems * Execute system start-ups, commissioning, and testing per manufacturer and client specifications * Accurately document service activities including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance reports * Coordinate with service management and clients to schedule and complete work efficiently * Mentor junior technicians in safety, procedures, and technical skills * Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours service requests * Maintain tools, vehicle, and equipment in professional working condition * Adhere to all safety policies and union standards Qualifications & Experience * Minimum 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience (not residential) * At least 2 years of hands-on experience with air-cooled chillers and chiller start-up * Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and controls * Proficient in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and system documentation * Skilled in using digital gauges, recovery systems, and diagnostic tools * EPA Universal Certification (required) * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in the field * Must be willing to join the union if not already a member Employee Value Proposition * Competitive compensation and benefits * Full-time employment with steady, year-round work * Company vehicle and gas card provided * Specialized factory training opportunities * Uniforms, specialty tools, and PPE supplied * Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage through union benefits * Retirement plan contributions per union agreement * Paid holidays, vacation, and ongoing training Work Environment * Union labor market * Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM * All tools, vehicle, and fuel provided Business Impact This role supports a high volume of contracted work and plays a critical part in maintaining service excellence and customer satisfaction across commercial HVAC systems. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $115000.00/yr. This is an hourly paid role. Direct placement. $43-54 /hr depending on experience paid from union. ElitAire can pay $2-3/hr on top of this for the right candidate. Guaranteed raise of $4/hr for the next 2 years. ElitAire pays fringe benefits on top of hourly pay.
