Job Description

General Summary:

The Senior Manager, Thought Leader Programming and Operations, US Kidney, leads the planning, management, and implementation of peer to peer (P2P) educational events. This role will initially cover two pipeline assets within the US Kidney Business Unit to support launches in IgA nephropathy (IgAN) and APOL1-mediated kidney disease (AMKD). The Senior Manager will ensure successful and compliant execution of a broad range of activities such as speaker programs, ad boards, congresses, and other Thought Leader engagements. We are seeking a candidate who has a strong track record of managing US commercial programming with Thought Leaders, collaborating with field sales and other cross functional partners, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to the Head of Market Development, US Kidney Business Unit.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees planning and execution of a broad range of field-based activities such as speaker programs, ad boards, congresses, and other thought leader engagements.
  • Supports creation of speakers' bureau including set up, training, management, and logistics.
  • Suggests new ways to approach programming and other market development activities that will optimize resources and help achieve objectives.
  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with cross functional colleagues, especially field sales, thought leader liaisons, medical, legal, and compliance.
  • Selects and partners with external agencies to drive successful program development, execution, and tracking.
  • Creates and submits materials for promotional review including new concepts and commercial materials

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Typically requires 6+ years of experience in healthcare / biopharmaceuticals, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience managing the operations of thought leader programs
  • Experience working in competitive markets
  • Knowledge of thought leader engagement practices
  • Rare disease or specialty product experience
  • Kidney experience preferred but not required

Pay Range:

$138,400 - $207,600

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
