Our interns work directly with division and corporate leadership to complete "real-life"mission critical projects. Last summer, our talented group of interns made invaluable contributions to our business and many of the projects they initiated are in use today. Altium is committed to providing our interns with valuable experience in a fun environment. As an engineering intern you will be responsible for working on critical projects for the Infrastructure & Reliability Engineering team.
- Engineering load calculations & system design
- Project development, including bid specification preparation
- Maintenance of critical plant equipment databases
- Leading small plant engineering projects and initiatives
- Data acquisition and analysis
- Development of new tools and processes for the Project Execution team
- Plant visits for data collection / project execution
- General support for plant engineering as assigned
- Assisting Project Managers and Project Engineers
What does the internship experience look like? As an intern, you will have exposure to real projects and will play a crucial role in the decision-making process. The experience will include: * Mentoring * Group Intern learning experiences and events (for summer interns) * Business exposure * Valuable project management experience * Final "report out" with all other interns highlighting key learnings and summer experience What will I gain from the internship?
- You will gain an understanding of the Altium Packaging business and a wealth of functional experience to develop leadership skills, cross-functional collaboration, presentation & public speaking skills, and experience with various technology.

Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering,Industrial Engineering,Manufacturing Engineering,Electrical Engineering, or similar
- Intermediate MSSuite skills inclusive of Excel and Word
- Experienced in software development using commonly available software tools
- Experienced in AutoCAD drafting software
- Juniors or Senior preferred
- Previous engineering internship experience preferred but not required
- Flexible schedule
- Energetic, hardworking, and motivated
- Possess strong problem-solving skills
