** All qualified candidates must be US citizen or greencard holder**

We are currently seeking engineers with experience in digital design and clocking. Digital design activities will be with embedded systems and circuits utilizing DDR, multi-gigabit high-speed serial (SERDES) links, ethernet communication, and control paths including I2C & SPI interfaces.

The candidate will be involved in all areas of embedded system and circuit design from following an architecture and requirements input to development / functional implementation (including circuit layout). Designs will be simulated/evaluated for functional performance, signal integrity, and power supply sensitivity and integrated into the final product by interfacing with RF, Digital, and Software design teams. These teams may be within the local design center or other Nokia design centers around the world. You will participate in analysis and solving complex engineering problems.

You have:

  • Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering, Masters degree preferred.
  • Previous internship experience and a working knowledge of FPGAs, embedded processors, Linux, and programming languages like Python can prove helpful as they are often part of the design and test efforts.
  • Must be able to travel internationally to support prototype manufacturing and/or customer deployments.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Clocking activities relate to architectures utilizing digital frequency synthesis, PLLs, low phase noise clocks, and reference oscillators used for the generation of high-quality clocks of various frequencies.
  • Knowledge in Siemens Expedition (design), Hyperlynx (simulation), high speed oscilloscopes, and circuit/interface compliance testing is preferred.
  • The primary design work is at the board level though a working knowledge of FPGAs, embedded processors, Linux, and programming languages like Python can prove helpful as they are often part of the design and test efforts.
