Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrol Driver in Boyertown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a secure work environment. Your presence and attentiveness contribute to the well-being of all on site, while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. This position requires driving as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a chemical or petrochemical facility.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and critical infrastructure areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and incident documentation based on site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least six months of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
