Job Overview

The Specialist, Social/Video will manage concept, capture, editing and delivery of social media content for Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube. This role requires hands-on expertise in photography and videography using both DSLR cameras and iPhones, as well as proficiency in editing. The Specialist will have prior experience working on a fast-paced social media team and can work under tight deadlines. This role will work closely with our strategy and production teams, lead content capture on set, cover live events (including Parade and Fireworks), and collaborate with all calibers of talent to ensure a seamless creative process. The specialist will be responsible for bringing the brand vision to life through social media. The individual will need to have a deep understanding of social media best practices and ad units and be able to concept and create within those parameters.

What You Will Do



  • Conceptualize and capture innovative, on-brand photo and short-form video content tailored for Meta, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
  • Use both DSLR cameras and iPhones for professional-quality visuals.
  • Edit content to ensure high-quality, engaging outputs that resonate with target audiences.
  • Partner with the social media strategy team to align creative vision with overarching social media goals.
  • Provide clear, actionable creative direction in written concept decks during pre-production and on set to ensure seamless execution.
  • Direct photo and video shoots with efficiency and creativity, managing lighting, composition, and aesthetics.
  • Take ownership of casting and briefing talent as well as directing any talent on shoots.
  • Lead and communicate effectively with all levels of talent, ensuring comfort and confidence in front of the camera.
  • Capture lives in-store events, producing real-time, compelling content that reflects the energy and excitement of the experience.
  • Adapt quickly to changing circumstances to capture spontaneous moments.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including social strategy, brand creative and content department to ensure the social content aligns with brand identity and strategic objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment, encouraging creative input from all stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on creative best practices for social media channels, including meeting regularly with agency and platform partners.
  • Prioritize projects and manage timelines efficiently in order to meet tight deadlines.
  • Work closely with social design team to ensure accurate delivery of all assets.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.



Skills You Will Need



  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in photography and short-form video content creation for social media.
  • Previous experience on a social media creative team in retail, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative and engaging social media copy.
  • Expertise in conceptualizing, capturing, and editing video content for Meta, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
  • Proficient in capturing content on iPhones, DSLR cameras, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools).
  • Deep understanding of social media ad units and paid strategy for a retailer.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to give clear direction on set to producers, talent, stylists and other personnel to ensure smooth productions.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and detail, with a deep understanding of social media trends and best practices.
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities to handle live events and tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with all calibers of talent, from celebrity to influencers to in-house teams.
  • Familiarity with live streaming platforms and tools.
  • Passion for storytelling and a strong understanding of our brand's voice and audience and how to translate that to social media content.



Who You Are



  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
