Who we are:

Data Partnerships is the team that identifies, negotiates with, and manages the providers of data that power many of the Trade Desk's products (think audiences, measurement, identity and more). We pride ourselves on maintaining a robust and vibrant marketplace of data to give our clients a breadth of choice in how they operate on the platform. With over 200 distinct partner relationships we have a lot of logistics to manage, performance to monitor, and reports to derive and deliver - all in the spirit of maintaining data marketplace vibrancy through growth.

What you'll do:

The Director, Audience Data Partnerships leads a team responsible for identifying, maintaining and growing the partnerships for ID-based targeting solutions. Considered an integral part of the Data Partnerships leadership team, you will utilize this influence to drive results, frequently turning distinct solutions into best practices that can be implemented across the globe. Keeping the pulse on organizational capabilities, you will deliver direction, vision, and leadership for necessary changes to improve the way we service and support our data partners.



  • Manage existing relationships with 3rd party audience providers across agencies, automotive, healthcare, etc
  • Work with fellow data partnerships colleagues to identify and negotiate smart, strategic partnership opportunities
  • Drive an optimal relationship structure for partnerships in conjunction with new partners plus Legal, Technical Account Management, Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Support account teams in showcasing the power of data to prospective and existing clients
  • Perform industry research and analysis; remain abreast of trends and partner product/segment enhancements, and educate internal teams on the need-to-know with webinars, client support, and training documentation
  • Assist in monthly financial billing reconciliation & collaborate on billing process enhancements
  • Manage partnership deliverables including regular reports and ad hoc needs


Who you are:



  • 8+ years of experience in partnership development and management with an emphasis on data used for targeting
  • Exhibit high emotional intelligence and integrity and build deep consultative partnerships with your business stakeholders
  • Adept at both developing strategies and operating day-to-day within cross-functional teams
  • Manage initiatives in complex matrixed environments and make actionable decisions in the absence of perfect information
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires context switching several times in a day as you cover multiple dimensions within the targeting business
  • Experience with strategic partner management inclusive of vendor negotiation, joint sales strategies and business development to connect partner opportunities with revenue
  • Experience in digital media, preferably ad tech
  • Experience working with account teams and centers of excellence at agency holding companies
  • Track record of helping direct reports grow their capabilities, responsibilities and careers

CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only: In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$151,100 $277,000 USD
