Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic leader to join our Sales team as a Associate Director of Sales. This person will assist in implementing all strategies and activities to generate and maximize overall revenue, through marketing, sales, promotion, advertising, and public relations that will impact positively on all operating departments of the hotel, thereby resulting in a profitable return on the ownership's investment. This person will also assist the Director of Sales in support of the Sales operation and work closely with the Catering Sales, Conference Services Department, and Reservation Sales Department to maximize revenues; maintain positive interdepartmental communications; contribute to the overall direction and operation of the hotel and to effectively control and minimize all marketing expenses while exceeding overall budgeted revenues and occupancy.



Responsibilities

    Develop and achieve personal booking goals for assigned Group segment and/or geographic region. (Large market)
  • Develop and lead small group team "go to market" strategy. Including but not limited to recruiting talent, developing team deployment, and driving results via Omni sales standards.
  • Identify and stay abreast of industry trends and lead hotel efforts to outperform the market.
  • Work closely with DOSM to effectively communicate new trends and develop strategies to increase revenue.
  • Responsible for management of customer decisions and the relationship process.
  • Responsible for directing and leading activities through internal and external resources.
  • Define and improve small group customer value proposition by assessing the competitive area as it relates to the segment.
  • Work closely with all levels of the organization to resolve complex issues or concerns, communicating in a clear concise manner.
  • Ensure full maximization of rooms potential.
  • Assist Group Sales Managers with established rate guidelines.
  • Assist Director of Sales in implementing strategies/action plans to generate revenues for the hotel.
  • Assist Director of Sales to stimulate productivity of all sales staff through guidance, development, and support.
  • Active solicitation of key accounts to generate direct sales.
  • Maintain Sales Team's focus on a Proactive Solicitation environment.
  • Assist the Director of Sales in developing and implementing the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Promote high visibility of the hotel through active involvement in industry associations and trade shows.
  • Assist the Director of Sales to ensure a challenging and exciting environment to encourage full career development and personal growth.
  • Support and promote all corporate programs to increase customer awareness of Omni Hotels and ensure that the customer receives the appropriate benefits of each program.
  • Through Convention Services Department, maintain product and assure the protection and cleanliness of the owner's physical assets.


Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of group Sales experience in a senior sales or national account management role.
  • Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience to motivate others to drive industry leading results
  • Convention hotel experience is preferred
  • Must be a self-starting team player that contributes positive energy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Excellent ability to conduct group presentations, written and oral.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize when necessary.
  • Strong business planning and budget management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative to develop strategies that will drive revenue.
  • Demonstrated ability to tie strategies and planned actions to results.
  • Strong financial/statistical analysis and business case development skills.
  • Strong understanding and expertise in the sales process.
  • Proficient in use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Travel - 15%.
