Overview

SCOPE : Under direct supervision, performs recruiting assignments for support staff openings in assigned group. Performs Corporate Employee Relations activities in compliance with the company's policies and procedures, philosophies, objectives and legal requirements. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

  • Reviews Personnel Requisitions and discusses job requirements with hiring manager.
  • Identifies sources of applicants and follows standard methods to access qualified applicants. Prepares advertisements and other communications to solicit qualified applicants.
  • Screens resumes, and applications to assess applicant qualifications and review them with hiring manager.
  • Contacts qualified applicants and conducts screening interviews. Arrange interviews with hiring manager and staff.
  • Administers and scores employment tests and records results and other relevant information.
  • Performs reference checks and initiates background investigations, and license verification as necessary.
  • Advises hiring manager of applicant's eligibility. Consults with the hiring manager on selection and salary issues.
  • Provides information and applies standard policy to determine appropriate salary offer. Refers exception to the Director of Recruiting.
  • Makes verbal job offers and prepares standard offer letters prepares appropriate paperwork for signature.
  • Investigates and resolves employment related complaints/charges. Ensures conformance with all federal and state laws governing recruiting practices.

Qualifications

BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field. 0-3 years prior recruiting experience preferred. Basic knowledge of recruiting practices including testing, interviewing, reference checks, background checks, and license verification. Basic knowledge of federal and state laws governing equal employment opportunity.
