The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Director of Technical Services (DTS) provides leadership and direction for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless information systems and technology, including the implementation, optimization, and support of technology, applications, processes, and integration across the agency. The DTS manages the organization's technological infrastructure, implements and maintains critical IT systems, and recommends opportunities for process or system improvements. Other responsibilities include ensuring necessary upgrades and repairs are initiated, and systems are optimized and efficient. This role includes supporting the department budget, analyzing IT needs, performing project management tasks, and maintaining vendor relationships. Additional duties include assisting with the development of IT policies to support business goals and overseeing department initiatives.
This position is required to be on site at our Stout Street Health Center Monday - Friday.

Essential Job Functions
    • Support the selection and implementation of innovative systems, technology, and services, driving the organization's competitive advantage.
    • Lead daily IT, Application, & Data operations and supervise IT and Applications support teams, help desk, and business intelligence.
    • Develop and manage technological infrastructure, including organizational information systems, IT support, software applications, etc., to ensure alignment with IS business goals and organizational strategy.
    • Implement and maintain critical IT systems, including ensuring system security and disaster recovery systems are in place.
    • Manage IT policies to support departmental and organizational goals; motivate employees and oversee department initiatives.
    • Maintain vendor relationships, oversee the purchase of new technology, software, and equipment as needed, and manage budgets.
    • Support the agency's project management, architecture, software development, application development, network infrastructure, risk management, cloud skills, disaster recovery, and knowledge of emerging technologies.
    • Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture to align with new trends and best practices.
    • Support the implementation of a long-term strategic technology roadmap.
    • Communicate technical vision to key stakeholders, including progress on development projects, resource utilization, and production performance.
    • Implement and support best-practice security measures to ensure the cybersecurity and integrity of the company's technology systems, communication systems, and data.
    • Maintain catalog and periodically assess current hardware, software, and technology platforms in use.
    • Evaluate the performance, integration, and scalability of existing systems.
    • Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in the current technology landscape.
    • Evaluate the suitability of existing technologies for future business objectives.
    • Participate in the Technology Steering Committee, which approves technology standards, makes recommendations regarding IT processes, and determines project prioritization.
    • Serve as or support the HIPAA Security Officer for all CCH programs.
    • Collaborate with HIPAA Privacy Officer regarding routine HIPAA risk assessments, and maintains HIPAA security policies and procedures.
    • Ensure timely & accurate use of all company systems as required while maintaining complete up-to-date records and any future upgrades as directed.
    • Perform other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications Summary

    • Knowledge of emerging technology, systems, problem solving skills and demonstrated sensitivity to and a desire to work with underserved populations.
    • Current knowledge of state and federal guidelines, regulations, and standards.
    • Experience managing projects on time and within budget.
    • Must have a valid Colorado Drivers License and be eligible for CCH auto insurance coverage.
    • Must pass criminal background check.
    • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology/information systems management, computer science, or related degree required. Experience may substitute for advanced degree.
    • 5-10 years' experience providing direction over several functional IT areas (computer operations, networking, tech support, systems administration, project management)
    • Advanced computer skills, for OS and PC platforms, advanced 365, EHR systems are preferred.
$130,000 - $156,000 a year
