* Rolling Hills Hospital is hiring TEMPORARY REGISTERED NURSES for night-shift, 7p-7am.

* 3 or 4 month assignments are available.

* Candidates must be able to work weekends.

* Current UHS employees and former UHS employees within the past 6 months are not eligible to apply.

* PREMIUM PAY

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. The RN provides medical management and assessment of patients; ensures environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population; directs the implementation of behavior management programs and ensures consistent carry-through. The Registered Nurse is responsible for making the patient and task assignments to subordinates and monitors their duties. The RN provides training and education to staff, patients, families; documents patient care and ensures data is accurate and included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates. The RN works with the treatment team to provide consistently therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of inpatient psychiatric experience with adults and adolescents
  • Experience with EMR (electronic medical record)
  • Ability to work with all patient populations
  • Flexibility and willingness to work all units
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Qualifications

Education/Training:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current Tennessee State Registered Nurse License required
  • Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Handle with Care Certification

Experience:

Experience in psychiatric setting as a nurse preferred; reading, writing, and mathematical skills at the master's degree level; excellent telephone etiquette and tact; audible speech, with good enunciation; ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes; effective oral and written communication skills; skills in analyzing and evaluating information; ability to concentrate on tasks and meet deadlines; basic data entry skills preferred; organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management skills necessary; flexibility, creativity, and the ability to manage stress are necessary.
