We are currently seeking a Controller to join our Accounting & Finance team at our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA. Position Summary Responsible for supervising the accounting staff and oversees all aspects of accounting for the firm including payroll, cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial statement preparation, corporate income tax compliance, financial budgeting and financial planning and analysis. Ensures compliance with accounting standards, company processes and procedures and ensures adequate reporting is developed to support the business needs of Burns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsiblities Directly supervises 3 to 5 employees in the Accounting Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
