Job Summary Manage and execute the activities associated with construction installation and timely restoration of customers and public property related to work performed, in accordance with all applicable requirements, ensuring safe, reliable service to customers in an efficient, economical manner. Facilitates training modules between engineering and construction to improve project planning and cost estimating. Coordinates with construction leaders, managers, field operations leaders and scheduling leaders to ensure cost-effective construction. Time allocation expectations: 80% in the field, 20% office Key Results: *Safe/efficient high-quality construction work that complies with policies, practices, and standards. *All internal/external customer-responsive construction support. *Collaboration among engineering, technical services, and construction on project designs. Essential Functions
Actively interacts with contract crews' leaders to ensure contractor performance adheres to established metrics and policies/procedures. Fosters and promotes valued relationships with government entities, industry associates, company affiliates, and contractors. Reviews maps, sewer videos, bore cards, and pull-back camera videos to ensure cross-bore prevention. Partners with engineers and engineering technicians to develop best-value construction practices and cost estimations for large pipeline projects. Collaborates with field operations/construction services, field operations leaders, and construction managers to ensure internal/external crew efficiencies are achieved and consults with construction coordinators to determine the best construction practices (i.e., directional boring, trenching, restoration etc.) is employed for the project. Works across geographic boundaries whenever necessary. Supports construction leaders, managers, and contractors in coaching and training of a geographically dispersed workforce. Review contractor camera crew invoicing, contractor daily progress reports, to ensure that the invoice is correct and to ensure contractor productivity is met. Ensures timely and accurate invoice payments to contractor. Attends pre-construction meetings with local municipalities to protect the interest of the company. Manages construction cross bore prevention process to maximize capital spending efficiency and return on invested capital. Implements best practices while driving functional consistency, process standardization and operational excellence, while promoting safety. Supports a project management and planning culture. Promotes the necessary environment for effective internal customer satisfaction and collaboration. Assures activities and processes are implemented to ensure the safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery of service to customers. Promotes and assures safe working environment and public safety. Utilizes technology, tools, and planning techniques to improve process results. Follows proper processes outlined in pipeline construction contract. Coordinates scheduling and resource planning of construction jobs. Time allocation expectations: 80% in the field, 20% office Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications For Position
High School Diploma Or equivalent Minimum of five (5) years underground utility construction experience Demonstrated knowledge of gas operations including gas flow, construction, contracts, and emergency response Knowledge of local, state, and federal operating codes Strong knowledge of policies, procedures, and standards pertaining to construction. Ability to interpret construction drawings and operations maps Working knowledge of operations support systems, i.e., WMS, etc. Experience working with pipeline contractor-paving and sewer contractors Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle. Excellent safe driving record is required. Must be physically able to negotiate variety of terrain and building structures. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions. May be required to periodically work beyond normal 8-hour day (at applicable overtime rate) to accommodate construction schedule and needs.

Salary Range*: $79,800.00 - $119,600.00
*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity. Posting Start Date: 2025-10-29
