Overview

The EVS JRLP / Training & Quality Supervisor oversees the Job Readiness and Learning Program for all Environmental Services staff entering the department, coordinates all training, performs quality checks and audits, and serves as a member of the Environmental Services leadership team. The EVS JRLP / Training & Quality Supervisor will partner with multi-disciplinary teams including Human Resources, Carle Experience, Quality, and operational leadership to select and train EVS team members.This position carries the responsibility to support leadership and staff in the cleanliness and appearance of all facilities of the hospital. Directs and supervises, motivates and encourages, all EVS staff members, and supports The Carle Values and Behavior Standards. Assists to establish policies, procedures, objectives, and work standards for environmental services (EVS). Supports the team in the efforts to improve the overall condition, appearance, and service of the facility.
Qualifications

Education: Associate's Degree: Related Field OR Experience In Lieu of Education

Experience: Workforce development; Human resources


Responsibilities

Assists in the interview and hiring of new team members for EVS. Schedules and coordinates training and follow up.Establish training program for new EVS members using Job Readiness and Learning Program curriculum. Partner with Human Resources, Carle Experience, Quality, and operational teams to ensure training program captures necessary technical and soft skill learning.Conduct quality audits and checks to ensure training appropriately transfers to work environment.Identify workforce and quality related trends as well as solutions for unfavorable outcomes and/or trends.Conducts scheduled follow up with participants to reinforce skills and behaviors learned.Assists EVS leadership when needed to mediate resolution of employee conflicts.Provide regular feedback on participants to Human Resources/Workforce Development as required for agency and governmental reimbursements.Establish and enforce operational policies, practices and procedures for EVS that ensure smooth operation of the department as well as improvements to increase throughput.Demonstrated commitment to the development of a skilled EVS workforce.Establish and maintain relationships with community partners.Possess strong commitment to improving employment and economic opportunities for our local community.Teaches for the Job Readiness and Learning Program as needed.Helps create a culture of accountability and stability through classes offered in the JRLP program, as well as through relationship building with front line staff.Support all front-line staff in work / life balance issues, as well as external challenges that arise.Ensures smooth operation of all departmental functions according to approved policies and in accordance with all state and federal law, standards of professional practice, and applicable accreditation standards.Responsible for all Safety Training, Annual Compliance and Safety Training (ACST), as well as any 'specialty' training necessary for the smooth operation of the department. Consult with EVS leadership, as requested, on work-loading and balanced schedules. Consults with the EVS leadership team to ensure the standards of cleanliness are developed and maintained for all hospital facilities. Provide ongoing instruction and coaching for EVS staff members.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $22.98per hour - $38.38per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
