Quality Control (QC) Inspectors

STS Aviation Services is hiring Quality Control Inspectorsin Melbourne, Florida. • Coordinate with Production Supervisors to determine daily priorities.
  
• Provide and document On-the-Job Training (OJT) for inspection and maintenance personnel as needed.
  
• Perform receiving inspections as authorized by the Chief Inspector.
  
• Conduct incoming and preliminary inspections.
  
• Perform in-progress and final inspections.
  
• Complete and file Shift Turnover Reports for all shifts to ensure clear communication and continuity.
  
• Initiate Suspect Unapproved Parts reports when required.
  
• Initiate Service Difficulty Reports as needed.
  
• Conduct in-process and internal audits.
  
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Director of Quality and Chief Inspector.
  

• Report directly to the Chief Inspector.
  
• Work in, on, and around aircraft undergoing maintenance or alteration in a hangar facility or on the ramp.
  
• Operate in a potentially high-stress environment.
  
• Some travel may be required.
  

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
  
• FAA-certificated under 14 CFR Part 65.
  
• Valid and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
  
• Minimum of three years of aviation inspection experience in an MRO environment working on commercial and large regional aircraft.
  
• Familiarity with applicable regulations and proficiency in inspection methods, techniques, and tools.
  
• Proficiency in English, including speaking, understanding, reading, and writing.
  

• Strong attention to detail.
  
• Objective problem-solving skills.
  
• High degree of integrity.
  
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  
• Ability to follow through and maintain relationships within the company effectively.
  
• Strong organizational abilities.
